On Monday 5 June, we hosted our inclusive 'Have A Go Day' event.

This relaxed, fun and inclusive 'Have A Go Day' event was intended to give all participants a taste of new sports and skills. All activities on offer could be pursued after the day by signposting to our local clubs and groups. Each participant received an information pack about our local disability clubs and offers, including accessibility, timings and key contact info, a medal and a certificate!

Our cafe at Sport in Desford was open all day, providing snacks and drinks and a safe space to chat with our fantastic Health and Wellbeing Ambassadors, who you can read more about here.

This was a fully inclusive event and open to all. All our coaches leading the sessions were SEND trained and made everyone feel included and welcomed.

We encouraged participants, especially those with siblings, to bring the whole family along - there was something for everyone! Our grass area had giant games and our kitchen ran an arts, crafts and sensory play station throughout the whole day.
