Promoting health and wellbeing
The role of Health Improvement at Active Hinckley and Bosworth is to promote health and wellbeing throughout the borough. By increasing awareness and knowledge of national and local health improvement opportunities, we hope to inspire residents to take ownership of their health and wellbeing.

Healthy Weight Strategy
District Councils, Leicestershire County Council Public Health and all local partners to implement a whole systems approach to Obesity and healthy weight. For the online document please open the link below:
Dementia Action Alliance
With a multi-agency approach, the network is to help improve knowledge of all available dementia services available in the community. Partners including Leicestershire Partnership Trust NHS, voluntary sector organisations, Local area co-ordinators and Leicestershire County Council. Anyone with an interest and commitment to improving the quality of life for people with dementia and their carers can join the Hinckley and Bosworth Dementia Action Alliance. Read more about our Dementia Action Alliance here.
QuitReady
As part of Leicestershire County Council, our service offers a tailored 12-week stop smoking programme that is led by you. You are three times more likely to stop smoking if you have support from an advisor, alongside stop smoking medications. For more info about QuitReady, click here.
Changing Minds
Changing Minds aims to promote positive mental health and wellbeing of individuals and communities within Hinckley and Bosworth and reduce health inequalities experienced by people with mental health problems and learning disability. Mental health services are available both in the community and in the NHS. For more information click here.

Wellbeing At Work
Wellbeing at Work is designed to support local workplaces to improve the health and wellbeing of their staff and reap the benefits of a healthier workforce. You can read about it here. Healthy Schools Project
